4SC Ltd we employs an in-house software
quality assurance process, this process has evolved from working with
multiple clients that are audited ISO-9000 companies. The business
quality assurance process is based on ISO 9000. The software
development process is based on the Mil-Std-498
specification. The
Mil-Std-498 specification provides an industry recognised framework for
the development process and associated documentation; this process
being tailored to each client's requirements. It facilitates the
development of a project plan, identifies the key points of the
development process and provides an outline list of deliverables for
the client. This process allows for a phased development, so that the
software capability can be delivered in discrete releases.
4SC Ltd employs a database to record defect tracking and traceability.
The
database allows 4SC to record faults, record the analysis and log the
corrective action. This database allows for trend analysis thus
allowing 4SC it to improve the development process. This database is
linked to the software configuration tool, thus providing integrated
tool for product traceability.
